997 tip jumping out of gear
Discussion
Has anyone had a 997 tip jump out of gear into neutral whilst driving along? mine has done it three times this week, out of the blue the gear display dissapears on the dash and the the revs jump up as it puts itself into neutral, to get it back again i have to slow down push the lever to N then back into D and all systems are go again, any ideas? i'm guessing a software glitch.

I had the odd jump at low speeds when engaging reverse. My car is currently at a main dealer having a new gearbox fitted.. oh how I wish I'd renewed that warranty!vinnie83 said:

It really is unlikely it is a software issue with the tip tonic control unit (tcu) - they either work or fail completely. You need to get a tester on it to see what codes are in the dme and tcu. 996ttalot said:
