993 RS or 360 challenge stradale

Ive had my 993 rs for 6 years now and I'm seriously thinking of getting into a Ferrari 360 challenge stradale for a change, was wondering if anybody else has gone from Porsche to Ferrari,
I know the running costs will be substantially higher running a 360cs, anybody else done a similar swap with no regrets ? opinions appreciated, cheers.

if i had a double garage & the funds, that's exactly what i'd have in there, both of 'em!

unfortunatly being a poor northerner i'm unlikely to be able to afford either but they are epic, have you been out in a CS? how do you use your RS at present?

Not much help, but I just got a Challenge Stradale as I couldn't find a good 993RS in the right color.

Got a LHD CS from the continent...a good time to shop over there w/ weaker euro and very little choice here in the UK (the same old CSs have been advertised for ever here)

Mine is Riviera Blue, its exceptional condition and it will be hard to let go but a 360 cs would seem the obvious choice to swap, being used to a left hooker I wouldn't mind a 360 on the left also,

The RS is gone to an Australian house...and I haven't driven the CS nor seen it other than pictures: Clive (mr911.com) went to pick it up 2wks ago on the continent, did all the mods for UK requirements, insured it and should be on a UK plate next week.

know where you're coming from, very very difficult decision to make,
all depends on the price I can achieve as it may be going back to Germany,
when I purchased it in 2006, the Euro was €1.46 to the pound, now its rubbish at €0.81 to the pound,
in any event i wont have lost any money.

Why not?

You have deliberated over 360CS & 997 GT3 before,why look back and one day wish you had tried them.....Even if you decide you want to come back to a 993RS at some point in the future, I very much doubt values are about to take off again?

Other than potential running costs on a 360CS which could be minimal to horrific, I doubt you will lose much on the actual car.

Have you test driven one though?

I have driven a 360F1 and been a passenger in a CS, the gearbox was not for me and felt I could have change more smoothly in a manual if I was wearing clogs!

Have a friend who owns a 360 CS, I intend to have a drive before any decision, if it drives like it sounds then its a no brainer for me !

think you mean the euro is now 1.24 to the £

great site. Seems that the LHD's are 20-25% cheaper than an equiv UK mileage RHD.

No contest, keep the 993 RS.

It's the daddy of the last of the aircooled 911. It was loved by the motoring press from day one.

If you've got a good one you want to keep it.

The 360 CS might look tempting but it's not an icon Ferrari like a 288 GTO!

The 993 RS is the real deal.
