Just wondered if anyone had had a look at the 93 928 GTS for sale at Portiacraft - or perhaps knows the car?

I've been thinking about popping up to Mill Hill to take a look but just haven't found the time yet - I think it's been for sale for 3-4 months, maybe longer.

Looks like a good car....(if I did buy it I would have Peter Morgan give it the once-over of course..).

So has anyone see the car - or know anything more about it?

Thanks

Victor

I'm not one normally for getting an inspection, however if its an older car, then if I was buying from these fellas, I would most def get an inspection.

I know the last but one owner an architect , he bought it from Portiacraft he said it was the best car he has ever owned he traded it in for a black C4S Cab 996 that was about 3 years ago. He is sorely tempted to buy it back and just store it.

Thanks for all the replies so far - I see that Portiacraft has just increased the price by £1000 to £13995. An interesting tactic on a car that is not selling. Has made my decision that bit easier........

I'm quite certain that this car was advertised at £125000 for months on end. As they haven't sold it the price has recently been increased to £135000 :

Both those number sound very high to me.

STOP PRESS! Looks like their tactic may have worked - looks like they've sold it!

Not for a good GTS - twice the price, at least, of a cooking S4.

Link was not for the GTS but for a 996 GT3 at £135k!

I guess that the 928 is finally becoming collectable, with good examples probably hard to find given that most would have been run on the cheap for a decade or so given where values have been. I've read a number of articles recently suggesting that the run-out GTS is the one to have so maybe not the worst buy in the world at this price? Still a cheap Porsche for someone.

No car not sold, they have taken it off the market to do the bits of paintwork needed to make it perfect and to be honest I don't think they are that bothered if it sells this year or next as prices are not dropping.

I nipped in at the weekend to look at the Aston they have as I have been toying with the idea of changing my 997 C4S for one but the car was not there as Harry took it home for a trip to Goodwood over the weekend, I should have rung.
Apparently they are desperately short of stock and the showroom was almost empty and they are finding very hard to source good cars.
I wonder if this is a general problem in the trade at the moment.

To my untrained eye the GTS looked perfectly okay but when you look closely both bumpers are very chippy and I can see how it would put a purist off.

I expect it will be relisted once done.
