Test drove a car today at the localOPC and liked it, but not the colours.

There's a car in the OPC network with the right colours, but I can't stand the Turbo alloys. Is there any chance they might do a deal on changing them? If not, I'd happily buy a set of 18s to go on - where would be the best source?

Secondly, a set of winter wheels and tyres - what should I expect to pay? For a 997.2, for what it's worth.

Lastly, do OPCs tend to do deals on screen prices of used cars?

I can't comment on what an OPC may or may not do to secure a sale. However, if you take a look on ebay you'll find plenty of Porsche wheel sets for sale, a lot of them from well enough respected parts indies such as Porsche-Apart and Jasmine Motorsport.

This time of year is probably a good time to buy winter tyres, before any panic buying at the first sign of frost!

They definitely will! Push hard for a deal, in this climate, sales are not likely to be going strong, so start low and negotiate hard!
Good luck!

They switched wheels for me on a car. Anything that won't 'cost them' they will be happy to do. So as long as they have another car with the wheels you want it shouldn't be a deal killer.

I switched the wheels on my car after purchase with a set I found on ebay. Even made £100 out of the deal when I sold the ones that came on it and got much newer tyres on the new ones. Handy!

Oh and haggle, they're just like any other car dealer.

I have a set of 19inch winter wheels with sottozeros on that i was going to sell in September / October time (i sold my 997 last month). Wheels were refurbished by Chris at Exel wheels last year and are immaculate, tyres are practically brand new, having done one winter and less than 2000 miles. PM me if you may be interested once you purchase the car. A new set of 19inch wheels and tyres is just over 3k from an OPC.
