Hi, Just taken my 911 996 2004 turbo in for an MOT which passed as usual with flying colours. On collecting it, the vehicle it will not start, starter motor not turning the engine at all. The starter motor is OK according to the garage but on diagnosing it is showing a failure of the rollover protection or an airbag failure which have presumably tripped the immobiliser. How do I cancel these false alarms and get the car going? Any ideas what has caused them, could it be going up on a lift? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Mine showed various captions including rollover protection when the alternator gave up the ghost.
Can you get the garage to test the battery?

Hi, Thanks for all your suggestions, turned out to be the ignition switch wiring loom at fault. The part was around £100 labour around £300 at Porsche Byfleet. Now working fine and back on the road
