Is this a blip? I haven't really been watching the market for these though I remember saying last year they'd start to look very attractive at around 30 grand scratchchin

Chatting to a local trader who shifted a guards red in ideal spec for me the other month, I'd have been quite tempted by it too.

The add you link to actually states 24 months warranty so I guess you do get 2 years lol. Does look nice. There is a Black Edition on a 61 plate at Guildford for similar money which I'd be tempted by.

THe white one has bee n for sale over a year, I asked about it when I bought mine no reply.
Must be a dog to have still not sold, no warranty, no stickers no response from seller.

You get what you pay for.

Red ones fully speced back up, may as well buy a normal Boxster with a nice roof.

I owned a Spyder briefly and it was a great car in the summer months, but once the winter and rain comes, they are a bit of a faff. I guess given the current weather situation, they are not shifting that easily.

If you want a car for 2 or 3 summer months of the year, and to sit in the garage for the remainder, then they are worth a look, but if you want to use it all year round, probably better off with a std Boxster S.

That particular car has been discussed before on PH. It needs work including a service, no warranty and the dealer doesn't seem to have a great reputation. I enquired about it, they took my details but didn't call me back.

Right, I'm on about the guards red one at the opc though.

But, you buy the car not the dealer-has anyone viewed the white cheap one?

When you say it needs work what are we talking about?

I got a pm from someone who had viewed the car, though can't remember who. From memory it needed rear tyres, the wheels needed a refurb, obviously you would want to add the decals. It needs a service, in fact it is overdue. Then you would have to add in the cost of a warranty.

Have you a link to the Guards Red car?

According to the ad it has just had a service at opc at 7k miles. Maybe this has been done. Tyres and wheels are not a big deal. So maybe there are other hidden problems.

most people do thumbup

still, why would you buy the silver car that's for sale rather than the red car? the pccb's? i'm quite happy with steals to be honest but it does hav sat nav which i'd prefer.

i still don't understand by what you mean by the red one being fully specced up though?

colour? i'd like red more than silver without a doubt
