Can anyone recommend a limited slip diff for a 944 S2 and also a good place to get it fitted (North half of the country)?

I hear that the Quaife gear type ones are not so good.

dont know about the location, but the 944T gearbox (a transaxle) has an LSD and the oil cooler. Might be easier to do a striaght swap

EMC do the Kaaz limited diff in some of their race cars, the Quaife diff is also good, it depends on your use and application.

The Porsche factory race cars use Guard Transmission LSDs, they're stronger than the Porsche motorsport items & it's what I've sourced for my 450 bhp 944 turbo build. Apparently Guard have been rebuilding GT3 LSDs which have ceased to lock after as few as 1500 miles from new. They're based in Colorado.

Some Turbo boxes have plate type diffs & even a very few S2 boxes. I know I just sold a good S2 one, with from memory an AOT tag. Otherwise there will be quaife & various other suppliers such as GT in the US.
