2003 Cayenne electrics
Discussion
I currently have a 2003 Cayenne S which a strange electrical gremlin.
If I switch the engine off, get out and lock (or just shut) the door and go back to the car a few minutes later the central locking will not unlock on the key fob and the clock and sometimes the date will reset to 0.00. This does not happen all the time but in most cases and I have a new battery on the fob.
Its as if that after 30 seconds of switching the engine off the car goes into power save mode and switches everything off that is electrical. I even have to unlock the car with the key and this will only unlock the drivers door.
Once I get back in and turn the key anti clockwise first and then go to start the car the engine will fire without any problems, as if everything id fine and the battery has full power.
Any ideas as to why this may be happening?

Sounds like a wiring issue to me........
Check under front carpets for water / damp - Cayennes tend to get water in the wiring which can cause strange happenings
Another point to check is the rear washer system - if washer fluid doesn't exit the jet when you operate it it can leak from the pipe into the cabin, usually into the electrical system ECU with obvious results. Staying in that area the Kessy (immobiliser) ECU is also there and can take on water too
