Hi Guys, has any one here used a ECU reprogramming solution from a company called Upsolute, they are claiming an increase upto 502HP and 650NM of Torque peak.

Not heard of them, but those figures are not so astounding. I was chatting to my tech at AmD the other day and he mentioned a 996tt upgrade they now do with similar figures. Cost was only a couple of k or something, quite reasonable.

Dom, used to use AMD for my old Audi TT. They were great.

The prices on the webstie though are much higher than other tuners.

Send me an email off forum with what upgrade you want and I'll see what the best price they can do is.

Sorry Rich, i have never heard of upsolute.
The price for bhp gains sounds out of line to me.
Even if they can get 500 bhp on the regular turbos, what peak boost would this be running? 1.5 ???

An engine rebuild for a TT is approx £10k, if i were to have a remapping for more power I would be looking into power accompanied by engine life preservation rather than bhp/£.

Clubsport,

I only heard of them from rennlist. The peak boost mentioned by users on there is around 1.1 bar. Now Im not a mechanic but I possible think that the ECU remap is not giving the HP quoted to me but something less agressive. It may be worth getting the ECU done and then getting the car dynod to see what its doing.

Rich, Ive never heard of them either, however if it were my car & thus my money that would have to pay to repair it if it went bang, im buggered if I'd let someone I had never heard of & that had no prior good reputation fiddle with my ECU.

395 is straight remap territory and AmD do them for about that anyway.

You might want to check that again Dom, I'm thinking you are about a grand off the mark there (at least) for a 996T re-map.

You are right Iggy, I thought about re-editing that to avoid confusion. I meant a standard remap like for a Golf or 993. The remap on the 996tt is far from standard due to the complexity of the ECU and is 1800 GBP I believe.

The reason the Upsolute stuff is so cheap is it's a base map on an exchange unit ECU, rather than a bespoke remap.

Apologies for confusion etc.

I wouldn't go for a simple exchange ECU when we are talking about something like a 996 Turbo. This car should have a custom re-map on the rollers by someone who knows what they are doing.
I would consider a Tubi exhaust with AMD's custom re-map, or possibly the DMS exhaust and re-map package.
