Car was keyed last week, quite a few deep scratches and small dent in front wing / filler cap. Could do with a mobile type come to me job, but not sure if these guys are any good? Has anyone use something like chipsaway in this area? If not any recomendations?

Finish Line in Graveley

just realised that you want a mobile guy.

Also, never seen a spyder kicking about Hitchin, or doesnt it come out that much?

You'll see it every day at the station!

Prefer mobile, but might check out finish line, as would prefer a recommendation. Thanks

I wouldn't let a deep scratch be sorted by a mobile guy. In a years time you'll be cursing.

I'm sure you would have already considered getting a cab and leaving the car at home, but perhaps it might be worth re-considering now, people who do this kind of thing to other peoples cars are sick enough to do it again once they have seen it all repaired and nice again.

I've never seen a good home service for this type of repair, and whilst I can't comment on the service you might get from a Hitchin based Chips-away the one I used many years ago I could not recommend as it was a very poor job.

Just in case anyone else is searching for Chips Away. Made an appointment, just so I could check them out, and have a price comparison, he never even bothered to turn up, phone etc. So more bad press for them…

for dents its all about PDR (paintless dent removal) now, days of rubbing down and spraying are long over

there are some excellent company's around, though don't know of your area

This is certainly one of those 'you get what you pay for' moments. Take a short cut (mobile) and you'll get that level of finish. If you can catch your nail on the scratch, it needs a body shop. Good luck!

I have my doubts as to whether that's much help as the car was keyed over two years ago
