In the rear boot itself you would get one for a wheel barrow but not a full size Cayman tyre that's for sure. That said look here http://www.planet-9.com/reviews/cayman-cosmetic-mo... for one on the engine cover.

No chance, i doubt you would get it in the gap behind the seats above the engine either. More chance in the front but not sure.

17, 18 or 19 inch tyre?

I tried to get an 18 in my car once and it was a non starter.

Thought it was a long shot. Front near side looking worn on edge (it's slick), had geo adjusted so think it will be okay, but 2 track days at Le Mans might induce heavy wear.

couldn't get an 18" tyre in the front compartment on my 987 Boxster - about 2 inches too tall. Managed to get 2 fronts stoop upright on the passenger seat, using some Audi tyre bags (£23 a set) to protect the seat...

You can get it on the engine lid. This is mine with a 19" front wheel on the engine cover. A rear will also go in if you move the seats an inch or so forwards.

I strap a collapsible spare in the front boot for daily use, and on the engine lid when touring.

To be honest I dont fancy a wheel in the back/on engine cover. If you are involved in a crash thats going to make a mess of your head.

Point taken, but it is strapped down with webbing straps onto the load securing rings. It would also have to break the seat backs.

Eh, there's no way thats 8 inches pal. Your tape measure musted be fooked, that's gotta be at least 12.

Well that's as far as my wife needs to know, when I get mine out.(So to speak) wink
