So on Saturday morning I had a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups fitted to my car and spent the afternoon washing and polishing it. 5 hrs!

Since then it's rained everyday, but this morning it showed cloud and warmer temperatures. Yippee I think, let's scrub the tyres in and see how they feel! biggrin

8 miles from home and it starts weeing down with rain. I discover that the cups make an unnerving "zizzing" noise when on wet and smooth tarmac. I drove very gingerly ....

Looking out of the window and it looks like it's going to wee down and consequently be wet on the way home too! ranting

Don't you just love it.

Over the last few days I've had a dry commute home, until I get to my favourite twisties near my house, then the rain starts and spoils my fun. I cannot believe that the rain starts every time I get to the same point. Maybe it's some local farmer spraying his crops to spoil my fun!

I love Blighty - but the weather this year has been shocking with the exception of but a few weeks!

Remember the hosepipe ban - introduced the day before it rained non stop for 6 weeks .... frown

Anyone who says 'dry weather use' only in their for sale ads from now on will have to be very convincing! judge

I can never understand that. Does it really do any damage if you drive your car in the rain, other than you spending even more time cleaning it?

If this is the worst thing in your life, count yourself very lucky.
