2007 Boxster S not starting

Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice please.

My 2007 Boxster S not starting, sounds just like no electrical power.
I charged the battery fully and it started. drove 1 mile. and then it would not start.
I jumped it and it started fine.

Now I have it back home... is it likely to just need a new battery (its still the original one in there)?
Or could it be something more serious, naff alternator?

With a 5yr old battery that has to be the number one suspect.

The standard Moll battery deteriorates noticeably after 3-4 years and isn't great at holding charge, especially with longer periods of no use, in my experience. If you're not under any warranty constraints consider replacing it with a Bosch silver.

Same happened on my 2009 Boxster S. Battery went just like yours suddenly. Got it replaced and all was fine again. Did some research and seems to be common problem for them to go after a few years.
