To those of you in the know, is the 997 Turbo boot space the same size/dimensions as the 997 GT3?

Thanks.

I have no idea. But I will guess that it is smaller, because the turbo's 4WD system eats into the boot space.

And also obviously the seats eat some space which are missing on Gt3.

The boot is the same size. The GT3 is built from a C4 shell.IIRC.

Rear seats fold flat, so plenty of room in the rear of either.

..last time I checked mine, I'm sure the boot was in the front, and not really influenced by how many seats were inside the car, or what was on the roof rack either ... biggrin

Slightly smaller on the tubbies than the GT3 due to the front driveshafts being there. Same as all 4WD 911s.

I think.

Well, it's a bit smaller than the 997 Carrera 2S - I can tell you that much. It has the same top to bottom depth but is shorter by a little. I usually stack 2 carry-on cases in the boot and still have room on the sides for small soft bags. With the fold down seats in the back there's plenty of room for luggage.

Ok. What the thing behind the seats in the called? Some 911s even have hatch there. Yet again my English fails me.

That would be the engine.

The non-RS GT3 is based on a 997 C2 shell.

Gen2 C4S/Turbo front boot compared to the C2S actually is not that bad, you lose some space but nowhere near as much as in the 996.

Here is a pic of the gen1 997 turbo with CD multi-changer.

Here is the GT3

997 Gen2 GT3:Cargo Volume
3.9 cuFT OR 110 L

997 Gen2 C4S:Cargo Volume
3.7 cuFT OR 105 L

997 Gen2 GT3 RS: Cargo Volume
3.7 cuFT OR 105 L

997 Gen1 Turbo: Cargo Volume
3.7 cuFT OR 105 L

997 Gen2: Cargo Volume
4.8 cuFT OR 136 L

So, the GT3 has more slightly deeper boot space than a 997 turbo and is not the same size or dimension but is smaller than the C2S due to the fuel-tank on the GT3 being from the C4S/Turbo.

Can someone else confirm that ?

With a C4 floor.

Think the boot sizes are the same?
