Just read the article on PH. I went to school in Amersham in the '80s, and we used to walk past the Autofarm garage at the end of Station Road on a daily basis. It was always full of these impossibly exotic whale tailed 911s. Oddly enough, I never liked them that much then - I was into Astons.
But I always wondered what happened to it - nice to see it still continuing.

Yes, they've been ticking along just outside Oxford for years. I used to read about the famous Autofarm Porsches as a boy in the 80's and it was probably their RSRs that really sparked my interest in 911s. Then I moved down to Oxfordshire for work in the early 90s and was pleasantly surprised to find that I was living less than a mile from their workshop. A couple of years later I bought my first 911 from them.

Great lads, and Josh Sadler came over well. It was a few years ago now and I went to them with'handling issues' with my 964 C2.But I always wondered what happened to it - nice to see it still continuing.
I'll never forget being driven down a country lane in it with one of the Autofarm guys at an indicted 120MPH whilst he's 'holding' on to the steering wheel with the tips of one finger of each hand.

Interesting fact, whilst screaming down one particular road, as we came upon a farm entrance, he calmly stated that we were doing 125 plus, at that point and on that type of road, he stated that they had never got an RS (964) anywhere near that kind of speed.
Maybe I just had a quick C2.

Maybe but more likely, I'd suggest it had nothing to do with how "quick" your C2 was, and everything to do with a standard 964 RS having spring and damper setting less than ideal for bumpy British A/B roads. Put some suspension better suited on an RS and the C2 would seem like a wallowy barge with a steering column forged from weapons grade blancmange

It was mean't tongue in cheek.
My 964RS was dog slow on those same Oxfordshire roads. Way too stiff and low. The standard C2 was far better set up for hooning along those roads. To put it in perspective a bog standard 996 is light years faster than either. But the most fun I've had on those roads was in an Autofarm 2.7 RS. Just perfect for that sort of driving.
