The iPod kit has arrived. I've scoured the forums about how to install. So - just a couple of questions - should there be a code for the PCM / Nav as I have nothing in the handbook for when the battery is disconnected? Also I expect the alarm will blare? Any tips on running the cables into the car - I would like the iphone in the centre console tunnel but I expect the glovebox is the easier option?

Thanks in advance.

PCM is coded to your VIN, so you won;t need a code

Well its done.

The install of the unit was extremely simple - unplug CD changer and plug that connector into the Dension unit then I used the power that was supplying the CD changer to supply the Dension unit as the CD changer is no longer in the car.

The hardest part was getting the trim off the CD changer and removing that likewise for the DVD nav player as you need to get to the wires underneath. Once they were out it was simple. Ideally I would have liked the ipod in the centre console but that was a bit too much dismantling for me so i'm happy with it under the bonnet as i've got a nano with a broken screen I can use as a hard drive.
