I'm not familiar with the 987 Boxster and its servicing costs and there might be a 987 service that costs more than a comparable service for a 996 Turbo.

I am familiar with the 986 Boxster and owning one and an 03 Turbo I can assure you while some services are cheaper for the Turbo -- I'm thinking, I'm thinking -- most of them are more expensive.

Oil/filter; plugs, other vital fluids, and so on all cost more when done to the Turbo than the Boxster.

Oh, the front bumper cover might come off the Turbo quicker and thus the Turbo is cheaper to have this removed to clean the trash out of the radiator ducts than the Boxster.

Sincerely,

Rockster.

Isn't this more to do with special deals on older cars?

agreed.986/996 cars coming up to 10 years old and no warranty to tie you in.but the point i was trying to make (as there was not enough room in the heading),was how can they charge £75 for a 996 turbo/£100gt3 brake fluid change and £150(which is well overpriced in the first place)for a 987 boxster!

If anything the job could be easier on a 987, given that 19" wheels (allowing better access to caliper nipples) were an option.
