i know its a photoshop special by a german mag.they have tried to do it in peridot green of the R which is a great colour in the flesh.the thing is it wont look that good if it follows the 981 boxster and it will never have 350hp more like 325hp so i wont need the cheque book after all

325hp will be plenty I reckon, if they make it drive well, and perhaps a little more raw than the standard 981 and 991 models. I'm managing on 'just' 296hp at the moment, and that's plenty to get myself into trouble, on the road at least.

Well, if it's going to be hardtop version of the Box then, yes, I guess it will look exactly like this but I think anyone could figure that out. Looks good but nothing surprising here. The 981 was the first in the range allowed its own doors etc to distinguish more from the 911. I wonder if the cayman will be allowed some of its own DNA too or will it look exactly like this picture?

Cayman bumpers will be different .. they usually are. Front lights (not headlight unit) probably different too.

Is it likely to follow the 991 up the price curve and be 75k for an S with a reasonable set of options ?

You're forgetting that most Cayman drivers are motoring enthusiasts and know that 'most' 911 drivers are useless drivers who care more about what people think than what a car's like to drive. I'd put you in that category judging by your first comment above.
