Wow ... I think this is my new fave looking watercooled 911 i've ever seen. Would have to have the black wheels. Just stunning looking to my eyes. Look at that arse !!! A lot of the 996 and 997 variants never quite hit the spot for me but this just looks dead on.

For once, I don't like the white. For some reason it looks like it has an aftermarket kit on it? It could be the black wheels I suppose?

These look amazing in guards though!

And yet, the GT3 looks fab in white! Colour sensitivity is a very subtle thing.

Its funny, im the opposite, i dont mind 964s and 993s in white but really dont like white GT3s. This car looks sexy, properly finished and complete to me wheas most other 997's look a bit bitty and ugly in certain places

Always liked the 997, better looking car than the 996 from every angle IMO and optimum in hunkered down GT3 form, even better with the wider RS arches.
GT2 has never quite worked as well for me. Extra inlets before the rear wheels and the fussy rear valance especially dont work. Even in white
Its a personal thing of course but I've never thought that air cooled 911s look better than 97 GT3s when parked side by side, quite the opposite in fact.

Lotus were doing it back then rather well with 3 different shades on the Exige S2. Dont forget the uber rae NSX-R as well. Thats when it was cool. 2008 was when the masses bought into it. Sufficient time has now passed i reckon now where its no longer 'in' or naff.

I was looking for a white car with black wheels/silver rims. Solid black looks much better in the flesh (so to speak). I may have the rims polished when/if they need a refurb.......
