After having a slight (not) off at charlies 2 at Cadwell in the MSV Team Trophy

I am considering a full exhaust replacement, and have seen a sensibly priced system at Design911

http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod1675/Exhaust-Muf...

I rang them to ask the db(A) of the system, they didn't know, they rang the manufacturer and they said they didn't know ! I don't want to risk the money to find my car is too loud to race.

Has anyone bought one of these and had it noise tested, or does anyone have a good system less that 105 db(A) for sale ?

Ouch ! scary to watch.

That system has no cat and a single muffler. i would imagine that its very loud. when you take the cat away the 993 gets extremely loud. i have a cat bypass and standard boxes and its flippin mental.

Also have decat and standard boxes, quite loud at idle,no problem on motorway or constant throttle settinging but i'm sure it will not make under 105db when on load at a track.

Cheers guys good info glad I didn't waste my money, car is back in one piece thanks to the Magic performed by Mark at M W Bodyworks in Elvington York. Bumper £100 BIN ebay, Jasmin and Porchapart.

The only thing I am unsure of is the exhaust as I used some silencers I had off a previous 993,and welded the manifolds up which left some of the tubes still heavily dented, so not sure how much the exhaust gasses flow will be restricted and how this will affect the power.

Will be tapping the words '993 EXHAUST' into my ebay search box for the foreseeable future
