Hello all

I have my new 944 lux in black. 1988. It came with a rather gastly head unnit fitted. Not only does it flash neon blue etc but it does sit nice and flush. It looks like a fairly standard modern sony unit that you would buy from halfords.

The car has Blaupunkt speakers and I would ideally like a modern Balupunkt head unit with bluetooth. Has anyone had experience with them? Would it sit flush? Bluetooth work well for music? I am not bothered about talking to people whilst driving.

A retro original with an adaptor out the back for bluetooth or usb or aux etc is also an option but would be more hassle and possible more cost with the various parts and fitting.

Any other suggestions? Something plain and tasteful. Not more than £150 ideally.

Something like a Blaupunkt Toronto.

You can get a phono to DIN lead that will allow the iPod to play through the HU. Around £50 on ebay - there are usually a few on the market.

Ah that may be up my street, I do like to keep things more original. Though tasteful modern upgrades are always good. I'll check out the ebay link and the cable.
