Looks like my rears are on the way out, my S has goodyears all round currently, I assume I can change to another manufacturer on the rears as long as they are N rated to maintain the warranty.

No track days currently just general fast A road hooning, commute etc what should I go for?

Michelin Pilot Sport 2's are generally regarded as among the best if you need to stay N rated.

You assume wrong. Same make, model and n rating are required....

So I have to have four of the same tyres regardless of them all being N rated? I'd love to put some PS2's on but there's life in the fronts and don't fancy forking out for four tyres in one hit

Yes unfortunately. You could replace the rears with the same this time round and when the next change is due the fronts will probably require changing as well.

You have not said that you have found a problem with the Goodyears. So why would you want/need to change to a different make?

You're correct although giving a bit of right foot it does tend to step out a bit, could be the tyres in general or the amount of wear on them, but people seem to rave about PS2's so wondered if it was an issue with regards to warranty.
