It's blue de islands, a paint to sample colour. Very similar to cobalt in the flesh.

I did an inspection on the car for myself as I fancied it, feel free to pm me

Edited to add, I inspected it when it was for sale by the previous owner but it definatly is the same car.

So we've established it's on the blue scale?

Blueish.

Madness speccing it when Cobalt was available IMO.
Craig, can you PM me your findings please ? I know of at least three individuals who've contacted me about it whilst looking for a good Mk1. My comment was it's "fairly" priced if it's in the condition it's described as. The fact that it's been on the market at least 9 months (and possibly more) would tend to indicate it's not as described.

I'll email tomorrow mate as I'm on the phone at present. IMO it isn't as described (or wasn't before they bought it).

I met the 2nd owner at Thruxton when the car was only a year or so old. Very highly specced for a Mk1 GT3. The colour is a Renault colour and was one of very few colour-to-sample Mk1's. There was also a Rubystone Mk1 Clubsport and a Turquoise Blue Mk1 Clubsport on my list.

I was once offered an iris blue GT3 MKI, which may have been special order and along similar lines of cobalt and the Renault blue. I never saw the car for myself but sounded a nice colour for it.

Colours for the 28 clubsports here. Think I still have a list of the original supplying OPC's.

My Cobalt Blue GT3 Clubsport and fast EDDIE (that was the reg number at the time) Rubystone GT3 in the pits at Brands Hatch. I was running Cargraphic wheels which fell to bits and then bought a set of BBS LM's. Much nicer wheels but expensive...ouch.

Got anymore hi-res images of your car Mike ? I seem to recall it was on sale with Sean Lockyear ?
