Issues, Supersport a narrow body ?
Discussion
Horses and courses.
Ive got a nice 3.2 Carrera, in Krystalgrun metallic, had it years. 112k, good history file.
Spent plenty on it, clutch, nut and bolt rebuild of the 915 by Paragon. Good engine and new exhaust, complete. New brakes and discs all round, minimal, tinworm, some external bubbling..
I like the car, and if I sold it would struggle to find one nearly as good, and not in Krystalgrun, which I rate.
Now I do love the Supersport look, Im not selling and rebuying a widebody for all the above reasons, so what are my options ?
Anyone know where I'd get the arches, and how much would it be to put them on.
Of course Im going to need some 8's and 9's after, but this is where Im going.

I'm sure this crowd would be able to do it, maybe you could go the whole hog and go for the ST look??

3.2 Carreras - narrow bodied and the lighter the better IMO.

To be honest i'd leave as is.
Im getting prices in my head.I like that fat ar53 they have, that fatness.
Found some Arches at Porsche shop, bit loathe to give them any money.
The fatness.
Oh the fatness!
Genuine new ones are not cheap about £5K for all four wings and sill covers and the rubbers brand new from Porsche, bearing in mind that they may have sold them all so you may have to wait for more to be made.
You also need the front lower bumper spoiler and the parts for the rear bumper, not sure on prices for those.
Getting them fitted shouldn't be too bad though.

Add in turbo trailing arms, a grand, originals ran 7's and 9's. I run 8's on the front, add best part of another 2 grand. Glass out repaint. Personally Paul I'd sell and buy a genuine supersport. You'll get the turbo brakes thrown in and the intrinsic value of the SSE. I reckon you could drop £12K into this easily and more. I understand that you believe that you have a good car and dont want to lose it, but surely it will be MUCH cheaper just selling up buying a mint supersport? Going down the conversion route wont be cheap and WILL cost more than you first thought as you will find problems you werent aware of.
A genuine supersport will be worth more at the end too.
Am I missing something?

Crimp, boys, you may well be right.
Dough wise Graeme, that sounds like mucho wonga, and I do know that you know.
Here's an old pic of it inside my old garage, and one of it outside Paragon one saturday morning.
I may just look around for some 8 inch Fuchs, and have it selectively blown over.
Oh the skinny ness.
