I have a 3 year old and 5 year old, both who love travelling in the back of my C4S. They fit snuggly into the standard seats. Is this legal? Is this safe? Would anyone recommend a booster seat or full size child seat instead? Any advice much appreciated. Cheers!

I believe you're breaking the law unless they have specific types of child seat fitted at that age/weight. Speak to someone at Helfrauds for more detailed advice & the current laws.

You would be breaking the law unless it is not a planned journey. I understand that the law allows children to be carried without the appropriate seat to allow for eventualitiess such as picking up from a car breakdown etc.
The law on this is actually a bit silly in relation to a 911 as booster seats for older children are intended to ensure adult seatbelts sit neatly across their shoulder, but with a 911 the seatbelts fit children without a booster cushion.
My 2 children have occasionally travelled in the back of my 996 without booster seats when it has been a necessity.

I use a booster with a high back for my 3 year old and the same one for my 5 year old but with the high back part removed (so it is just a booster).

I got them from Mothercare.

Just had a quick look on the website and it seems they no longer have that particular model. But the standard booster is only £15 and the high back version is £35 although I think that is a non-removable high back version.

Pretty cheap.

They fit very nice and snugly in the back of my 996TT. You may want to go and try they though, they offer a free service where you can try before you buy.

look for the britax adventure (billy I think is it's name) - that fits perfect in the back of my 996 02 cab...

£30 in halfords and they are doing a £10 vouhcer back for some other purchases so you can buy something else you need - get the voucher and then go back in a get this seat for £20.

Be careful on the law, as the taxi is the ONLY exception for the under 3 years child.

I use a Maxi Cosi Rodi and a Tesco booster in mine and that covers all my options. Once over 3 weight and height need to be considered when choosing a child restraint. I can't say I'd ever go to Halfords for advice, but I'd try Mothercare.

The cheap ones from Hallfords fit perfectly, have been on offer whenever I see them at only about £8.50 so I leave a pair under the bonnet...
