Hi
I recently bought a 997tt - love driving it.
Most of my driving is around London - a lot of stop/start traffic. I would like to know what effect this kind of driving has on the car? And should i be taking it out on longer runs on a regular basis ?

I would very much appreciate any views on this.

Thanks

All cars hate short trips, so yes it would very much like some long runs with plenty of loud pedal action!

Thanks, does it harm the car to continually use it for short trips around town

I can't answer whether or not it harms it to only use it for short journeys, but from experience with most performance cars; you only seem to get about 80-90% of the performance unless it has had a recent(last week or so) 100+ mile trip.

Throttle response seems noticeably better on the way back from a lengthy blast than on a short commute for example.
