OK guys - I need your help. Having owned my '98 C2 for a couple of months, I thought that i had to have the sports exhaust. In the end I went for the official Porsche version - basically so that I can turn it off when I want to (although for the life of me I can't think why I would !!)

I picked it up tonight and have driven if for 20 mins. It seems to have this in-built "fun limiter" that turns the exhaust off (seems to be between 30-50 mph). Why does it do that? And more importantly, can I get this over-riden - is their some link between speedo and exhaust system? Please tell me I can - otherwise I'm gonna feel mightily cheated !!

If you do a search for "Porsche Sports Exhaust" you'll find an answer to this. There's a mod that you can do yourself or get a Porsche Dealer/Specialist to do it for you.
