Cayman s clutch issue
Discussion
I jumped in the car this morning, depressed the clutch to start the car and before I turned the ignition key I heard a single faint click come from the engine bay. The clutch pedal then felt rather odd. It feels much lighter now, it doesn't seem to return properly and it is now harder to get into gear.
The car has 60k, is on it original clutch, and is not tracked.
Any thoughts?

It sounds like you might be heading into new clutch territory. I've just had mine done, along with a flywheel, at just under 60,000 miles. The car has 60k, is on it original clutch, and is not tracked.

For that mileage I was told mine had done pretty well and most are starting to get tired around 45,000 - 50,000 miles (depending on the type of driving of course)
A classic sign that the clutch is wearing is the pedal starting to feel "heavy" and the biting point being right at the top of pedal travel (I'm sure you know that and I'm doing the sucking eggs thing, sorry)
If you go to a good indy you're looking at around £1500 (get them to check RMS at the same time, it's only £12.95 and it's worth doing while you're in there) I don't know where you live but I can't recommended Steve Bull Specialist Cars in Devizes (Wiltshire) highly enough, he just did the clutch, flywheel, RMS and exhaust bolts on my '07 Cayman 2.7 for £1446 using genuine porsche parts (apart from the exhaust bolts that I supplied, marine grade stainless steel)give him a call on 01380 725444 if you're close enough to go there.
I hope that helps you?
