96-04 Boxster

Looking around gavering information for a new (second hand) car. I'm a 21 year old male with a budget of around 5k. With the track car in the garage taking most of my funds I just need a fun, in standard spec, road car with reasonably low miles (40 - 70k) that should be a reliable drive to work/rugby/cinema etc. The ep3 civic type r's seemed to tick all of my boxes, but a slow day at work lead to a search of autotrader at what else I could get for that budget and the 2.5 and 2.7 Boxster's seemed readily available too. It got me thinking! I would need the right colour trim combo as to avoid looking like a hair dresser but it would be interesting to test drive one. I know there's Porsche tax on the parts but I've doing Porsche race weekend work so hopefully could get a bit of a discount, but I haven't got any experience of the cars this old. What commonly breaks, whats service and running costs like and what should have been done by 60/70k miles.
