This is a little way off for me, probably 18 months or so but just wondering if anyone had real life experience of the differences in rear seat space between 997.2 and 991, specifically legroom?

Obviously the wheelbase has increased by around 100mm but I believe the engine has moved forward, possibly negating all of the potential advantage?

My kids don't appear to be getting smaller and my eldest is starting to not enjoy the car as much as before frown

Thanks
Paul

well I own a 997 and have tested a 991 if that helps?

personally I find there to be much better room in the rear on the 991 both leg and head room

Thanks very much, height I'd assumed would be the same but that's a bonus if there's more.

My dealer said there was no discernible difference in rear pace between the 997 and 991. I've looked and sat in the back of a 991, and I couldn't tell.

My 12 year old is more comfortable in my 991 than the 997, not exactly cavernous but there's a little more leg, shoulder and head room. My 15 years old is still not prepared to go in the back though, nor is my wife.

My eldest is 11, 12 next April and he's tall.

By the sounds of it I'm not going to be buying a whole lot of time here, although any extra space is a bonus I suppose.
