A chap on the PCGB forum is keen on the (last OPC) Spyder at Nottingham but his wife is demanding heated seats over the buckets that car comes with.
Am I right in thinking that someone on here managed to get an OPC to swap the seats on one to clinch a deal? Was a while ago mind.
Not 100% but I think MrDemon did it?Am I right in thinking that someone on here managed to get an OPC to swap the seats on one to clinch a deal? Was a while ago mind.

It's not the last OPC Spyder, though at present it is the only manual.
Oh yes it is...The only Spyder left in OPC network is the red one at Nottingham according to the Porsche approved used car locator.
There are only 4 other ones on here for sale in the whole country, 2 private and 2 independent.
Rare as hen's teeth at the moment

dreaming! actually come spring £30k will get a 3 year old car out of warranty with wrong seats and wheels and starship mileage.a nice one is still going to be at least £35k+
the nice one at Leicester sold for £34k a number of weeks ago.... in 6 months it would of been £30k tops! plus in 6 months there will be a glut of 981s in OPCs dragging the prices down more. I'm just glad i didn't buy the one at Leicester for £42k in June!Nano2nd said:

In 6 months time it will be the end of April, the sun will be shining, the clocks will be going forward and pretty daffodils will make spring time Spyder driving all the more pleasant with the roof down. There are already more 981s for sale than Spyders - different market I think.
Ownwers like me will continue to talk them up, prospective buyers will talk them down, that's Pistonheads for you!

£30K? Where do you drag up these figures from?
The simple fact that the prices I quoted were accurate, last December January they were circa 34 grand (or more importantly the ones that were for sale were!).You then consider that two cars have sold this summer for 30 grand, both good spec but a little high on mileage at 30k (one at 911v so a respected seller). The Nottingham car with approved 2 year warranty was 35k in July, I know as I nearly bought it!
Honestly, why on earth would I lie or say what I don't think? My names not Mrdemon & I don't claim to be able to talk any market up or down!
If you don't think so fair enough, we 're all entitled to our opinions, but try phoning a couple of dealers & see how much you get offered.
I will concede however that there aren't many for sale, which you'd think will therefore reduce the chance of dealers taking the hit & dropping their prices.
Romans are selling a practically new one (or they were) at a shade under 40 grand & have been for a long, long time. Are you telling me that one with 20k miles on the clock will only be worth 5 grand less?
As I say, the lack of dealer cars for sale will hopefully help out any folks trying to get out of them, but should 3 or 4 come to market before the end of this year I'd say they'll go to around 30 grand.
I've been watching the market pretty closely as I've loved them since I went to the launch event & drove a few, great cars. I still think a Porsche approved car at the low thirties is a fantastic buy & that might be the price point to get me in if I don't buy something else first. However if the supply dries up then I guess they'll hold pretty firm, no cars, no price drop!
