Contemplating having the mirror covers finished in a contrasting colour - either Speed Yellow to match (pretty closely) the PCCB calliper's or perhaps Satin Black to match the wheels.

What do you think, worth a try or keep them silver?

The black would work. For the yellow option I think if you also changed the side stripe for a yellow one and painted the roll-over hoop it would look excellent. But my taste in many things has been questionable over the years. Each to their own and all that.

I think yellow would look a bit 'Halfords rattle can'.

I started a thread a few weeks ago with regards to this - I'm still undecided wether to go the black mirror route or leave as is.
Just need to do something to the car that won't affect the warranty....

I was up for the Speed Yellow but I think you're right, black may be the way to go if anything.

Yellow seat belts, on the other hand, would suit it.

Having thought about it - go black mirrors to tie in wi' the wheels and stripes. If anything, that'll bring out the yellow calipers even more, which would be a good thing.

Yes, they probably would. I do have quite nice silver ones already though with matching door pulls.

I know you have - but aren't they a little grubby after Phooeys filthy mits had been fondling them?

Just noticed your earlier thread. The black on white surprised me in that it didn't really work on the Spyder. I imagine it would be similar against silver.

Keep them colour coded imo.
Change for change sake.

As for the door straps, 3 screws and a bowl of vanish brings them up like new, did it a few weeks back.
You going to keep the car now for a bit longer.

I admit I gave them a good scrub when I first bought the car but they've been sparky clean ever since smile

It's a great car, probably my favourite. Realistically there's nothing which offers anything like the look and drive for the cash - that's obviously just my opinion. My original plan was to change it for something more suited to carrying a dog but my Saab saloon seems to be managing so far.

I've got a figure in mind that is my base for the Spyder. Happy to keep it if I don't get offered it and that being the case was considering some upgrades / changes.

Definately not yellow mirrors!

Thought about black on mine (white), but ended up deciding against it.

Proper carbon fibre mirrors would be good and be a bit more pukka than just painted black mirrors. More costly though.

Happy with the silver belts.

Decided to go the whole hog and get it resprayed in Riviera Blue...my absolute favourite Porsche colour.

Not really, but I would love a Riviera Blue one!

How about red to match the rear roof locking hoops? biggrin

I'd keep them body coloured but if you 'have to change' then Black. Yellow would look pants imo.

Riviera blue you say? Someone in the States has one. Looks pretty good I think. You could always get yours wrapped if you fancy a change!
