Hi Guys,

Just a quick question...

What colour were the brake calipers on this as it left the factory? Black, grey, silver or unpainted?

The car in question is a Silver Targa.

Many thanks,

C.

All the ones (ATE calipers) I have ever seen were light gold.
If the caliper, which is made of cast iron, was unpainted, it would have rusted very quickly.

It's not paint though it's zinc plating. I bought reconditioned ones for my SC and the Euro Car Parts one was nice, all one colour with a long enough bleed nipple. They only had one though so I had to get the other from Porsche - each half was a different colour of zinc plating and the bleed nipple rather short, really quite poor quality by comparison as well as being a lot dearer at about £70 (rather than £40-odd).
