A little balance
Discussion
Don't get as much opportunity to post as I would like, but after checking recent threads I'm amazed at the number of NA v Turbo, PDK v Manual discussions.
Well as everyone knows I love my turbos, but just recently bought a 964 for 9E as a project car. All I can say is both give me completely different experiences, equally as enjoyable.
That might surprise some of you, but the 964 is great because I can drive it closer to its limits than compared to one of our 9e turbos, Not that I don't enjoy the turbo, but it is horses for courses.
Maybe we should all embrace that you can have enjoyment from everything Porsche, maybe we forget why we wanted a Porsche in the first place, not sure.
Anyway now a member of the air cooled as well

I agree, as long as you don't disagree with my preferences. :-)Maybe we should all embrace that you can have enjoyment from everything Porsche, maybe we forget why we wanted a Porsche in the first place, not sure.

I'm not surprised at all but then again I'm a little biased when it comes to 964s.
Glad to hear you're enjoying it Ken
It is just such a difference driving experience, we are doing a complete project on it, but not like RS rep or anything like that - just updating everything. Currently it is having a full respray

. Then we will do suspension, brakes, interior etcDriving it a few weeks ago I think the general public appreciate these cars more on the road as they are probably less likely to see older Pork versus new.
We won't be fitting a turbo to it or doing anything stupid like that - have fitted our new exhaust system and it will have a remap but that will be the extent of the performance work.

Sounds a lot better now.

Wow. When she started up, bloody lovely. Nicer than my 993 with RSR cans IMO.
