IPhone5 + PCM3 + adaptor = fail

So my Lightning to 30 Pin adaptor finally turned up yesterday, so I thought I'd give it a punt in my 997.2 today. I can now conclusively say that it does indeed work perfectly with the official Porsche iPod lead thing you get with the universal audio interface: All functions are identical as with my old 4S, and there's no lag or anything like that.
Just one problem though: With the adaptor in place, the whole lump is now too long to fit in the armrest and close it up.
Bearing in mind the 5 is longer than the 4 anyway, it's not hugely surprising, albeit still irritating. You can make it fit by having the bottom of the phone towards the front of the car IYSWIM and then forcing the lid closed, but then you put pressure on the connector and the connection between car and phone becomes intermittent.
I'll have to have another play tomorrow to see if I can bodge it in, but I'd not seen any conclusive threads here using the proper Apple adaptor so thought this might be of use to others.
