What decal goes on the 996 speaker indent?

Hi there.

My 996 Turbo speaker is like this one

On the speaker mesh there is a small rectangular recess which holds the screw. I'm pretty sure there would normally be a decal over it. Mine are missing .

Does anybody know what they are and where I can get them from. Local porsche dealer couldn't find it on his parts database.

Can't help as mine's a different shape and says Bose. Why not pop in to a dealer selling your model and have a look? Good luck!

Yeah I tried that last week with no luck. We spent about 45 mins going through the diagrams but came up blank.

Those speaker covers look like the massively expensive speaker upgrade that was available as a retrofit early on in the 9x6 series; I'll look in the Tequipment catalogue in PET system...........

Hi newbie here, I have the same system in my car and looking at the options list for it it says "M490 MY 02 sound system Harmann analog" The badge just says "Porsche" hope this helps.

It is a clear coated small badge which says "Porsche"



I doubt you will be able to buy a replacement.

Aha, I have found the number for the PORSCHE logo:

000.044.900.57

I found the retrofit instructions for the speaker upgrade kit (it was £4500 in 1999.....) the logo is just stuck on.
