To be honest not sure a remap is the best use of 900 quid on a NA car. I'd upgrade pads and discs rather than add 10-20 bhp at most.

Hi , Rob at DMS did a stage two upgrade on my 997 tt around 2 months ago - very professional , very thorough and now ........ Very very quick !!! Wouldn't hesitate in using them again . Cheers & best of luck , Barry Clarkson (feel free to quote my name ) ps I have no financial interest in them other than a happy customer.

Agree with this, probably put £900 towards a decent sounding sports exhaust. But maybe the results of a remap on a N/A car are good? Be interested to know, I'm no expert.

What will it give you? 5 - 10 bhp and maybe a little more mid range torque?

I really wouldn't bother. Save your money towards a faster car if that's what you want?

Go to Chipwizards if you want the best possible job doing (on the dyno). It should cost less than half what you've quoted too - win win, and for that amount will probably seem well worth it. I know there are other things that can make a car faster when conditions allow e.g. on track, but a nice remap is something that can enhance driving pleasure all the time - you use the accelerator every time you drive it so if there's an improvement in response or torque/flexibility you will notice it (and hence benefit from it) every time you drive it.

I visited their premises and had a chat with the guys at DMS, they impressed me with their knowledge and honesty. When i asked about my 997, they informed that there would not be an awful gained through a remap, as the standard mapping is pretty close to optimum, compared to many other cars. There advice to me was don't bother, and send your money elsewhere!

thanks for advice lads i went for the dms re mapp . my standard bhp was 355 they have taken it up to 379 bhp torque was 295 its now at 309 .It really does not look like much on paper . Went for a spin tonight not even using the tip . I must say i did not think i would notice the difference much but the spread of power is unbelievable. And off the mark wow what can i say huge huge differnce . much cleaner revs more crispy on the throttle . my sports pipe sounds even better now . if dms said dont bother having it re-mapped i really dont no why they would say that when theres so much extra power to be gained . it dont sound a lot on paper but it fecking is lads
