Porsche Virgin... dealership recommendations Surrey/SE
Discussion
Hi there I posted this in general too but I was wondering if anybody could give me some genuine advice on buying my first Porsche. I have a budget of £25k and considering a Boxster or Cayman. I live near the A3 Guildford/Cobham so can travel in the South East. Any recommendations, repeat business dealership, non-dodgy rip-off places. Also as a woman who loves driving I would also like to know of any that don't think I'm just looking for a hairdressers car in a pretty colour. Thanks!
As mentioned, 911virgin have a good rep. I bought my turbo from Harbour Cars (Chichester) and would recommend them. Cridfords is at Ripley, which some people have had good experience from - personally, I didn't like their attitude when I was shopping for my turbo.
Northway (Reading) don't have huge stock, but have a good rep if they have anything you want. RSJ also have an excellent rep if they have anything that suits.

Thanks guys. 911 Virgin I have heard a lot about but keep getting mixed messages about the owner and subsequent trade in prices?
That seems surprising. Henry seems a fairly straight guy, and I've never heard complaints about their trade in prices. Some people don't seem to like their pricing structure (i.e. the bug price) but overall, most of the comments I see about 911v are very positive. I bought from there 10 years ago, and would again.I have dealt with harbour cars, cridfords and northway, wd recomend them all but northway stood out as they are also an excellent garage so their prep and aftercare was superb
Rsj and v911 i have only heard good things about
I used to go to jzm in kings langley for service and they knew their stuff too but not been for a while

I found a thread on here that was arguing about the owner but maybe it was a matter of opinion :-/?!
His model good looks work against him at times.Luckily these days you are far more likely to deal with his brother Tom who doesn't have to shoulder the burden of James Bond castings, Armani campaign shoots or Saturdays standing in the doorway of Abercrombie & Fitch.

You've clearly not met him yet have you? Luckily these days you are far more likely to deal with his brother Tom who doesn't have to shoulder the burden of James Bond castings, Armani campaign shoots or Saturdays standing in the doorway of Abercrombie & Fitch.

A few questions for you.
Will you drive it hard, is performance important?
How badly do you want a convertible?
Is it a 2nd car or Daily driver?
Do you have any specific requirements?
It will be a daily driver. Longer drives weekends. Will you drive it hard, is performance important?
