Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Discussion
Some politics at play perhaps? Which brand of Tyres do new Porsches arrive on these days? The "gift" of N rating lies with Porsche. Giving it opens up a market for Michelin so you can imagine they are bending over backwards to meet the "requirements"
I can't imagine Michelin don't have the nous to manufacture a suitable tyre so it has to be either politics or the sheer, poor economics of development costs vs sales potential. Who knows what hoops Porsche are asking Michelin to jump through?

Exactly. I wonder if you were to take a photo of one of these cars and then produce it in the event of a refused warranty claim, how they would wriggle out of it!
They would simply refer you to the terms and conditions of the Porsche approved warranty which clearly state the requirement for N-rated tyres....sidicks said:
The requirement for an owner to fit N-spec tyres to retain the approved warranty is laughable or the requirements for tyres to meet standards to obtain the N-rating is laughable?

I have not had that issue in Canada, interestingly. Nobody at the dealer seems to worry about the non N spec tires.
