I know that it is not everyone taste but I think it is a beauty. Pity though it is a tiptronic

Very well priced for a low mileage OPC car, not sure about the external colour though, could grow on me. I quite like the interior, it looks light and smart. The stick in the middle is the issue for me though

...the interior is a bit of a "wes bedroom"...shame about it being a Tip....but one helluva lot of car for the money.

I think this is one of the nicest on the market. I had a 996tt grey polar with a blue metropolitan interior and I was bored to death with the colour at the end

C2Sman - if you have seen the car in the flesh, can you tell us a bit more about it, ie its condition etc ?

Well, the car is being sold thru the official network and has to be prepared accordingly. I have always found Leeds to be very good at sorting their cars and this one is no exception. The paint is good and all panels appeared straight etc, having said that I didn't spend that much time looking around it. The interior is very beige, defo not my cup of tea, but again it looked in really good nick.

It's a 2003 so I would imagine just scrapes in for the 2year warranty and the price isn't off the scale. If the car was a black/grey one at this money with this mileage, it would have sold straight away I'm sure. But if you like the spec/tip get in there wink

I can't see it being Porsche Approved given the age of the car.

The cars in its 9th year, so i think it still qualifies for warranty and is showing manufacturers warranty in their advert. I'm sure a quick call would clarify this....

I know they have had the car for sale quite a while now, which is always good for a deal to be had smile

The car will have a dealer warranty. There haven't been many approved 996s for ages. Even two years back I only saw a dozen cars and no turbos.

OPC Leeds had this car in stock in March 2011. It's either been sold and then come back to them or it's been under a sheet for 18 months.

Had a look at the time, as it had just come in and was in the compound. The interior was a bit overwhelming even though I am a fan of anything other than black. Lack of PCM was also a negative for me as there are plenty out there with it. Body colour was stunning if you like to be noticed and not part of the black/silver brigade.

It was very low mileage and I saw it in an unprepared state. Didn't blow me away or make me feel the last owner had done anything other than leave it in the garage to gather dust between short excursions.

I would guess it would have to be tip top now for them to sell it as Approved.

I should say that the lack of SatNav should not deter people from buying this car. Mine (a 996 tt 2003 model) did not have it and it is true that it was an issue for some buyers. To be honest a more recent £200 Garmin or Tom Tom is likely to be a much better kit.

I do not know if anyone has seen recently this car or is considering buying it. I called Porsche Leeds today and they seem to be top people. The car looks great although it has not been serviced every year (some years are missing). In addition it will have their own in-house warranty (not the OPC warranty). I was tempted but no it would not make sense to get another 996 turbo (although I really like the colour). I think this is a great buy for someone who wants a 996 turbo

First time I looked at the link I thought Yuk. Second time I looked I thought hmmmmmm. I'm starting to think the interior colour isnt so bad either ..... it suits the exterior in my mind.

The pictures on Pistonheads do not do justice. Porsche Leeds sent me some pictures by e-mail and the inside is darker than what is shown on Pistonheads. Really great colour.
