Has anyone on here had their 3.4 996 tuned by West Tuning? I know Ray West is the man when it comes to these things and I'm thinking about to taking the plunge. I want to address the lack of mid range grunt.
Please don't advise me to get a 3.6, GT3 or a TT as I don't have the budget.

I've done a search and can't find any posts relating to someone who has had this done.

Just wanted to know if there was any real difference with this ecu/chip remap. If it does what it says on the tin, then £550-600 is a bargain!

Not had any work done by West but IMHO nat asp engines just do respond to a cip/ecu only. To get the best you really need to do things like cams, exhausts, cyl head porting, compression and these allied to ECU & chip will make a major difference. Or you could just Supercharge it.
Prob less to S/C it than any other route to performance

The biggest power gain is to change the exhaust back boxes (+10bhp).

On my last 3.4, I did this plus a RUF ECU plus an air induction kit, which resulted in @ 327bhp.

Only things I didn't do was the change the header pipes and port the engine.
