Hi guys,

I'm planning on carrying out an entire fluid change on my 996T, I've managed to track down details for all but the gearbox. Has anyone carried this out? Is it straightforward? and what did they use?

Mobil PTX 75/90 oil is recommended for that transmission.

Straight forward job.

Or Redline 75W/90NS from Opie Oils.

Saying that, I think I'll try the new Millers Nano stuff next time.

Had my 03 Turbo's 6-speed fluid and diff fluids changed. At the dealer. 0.3 hours labor and a few bucks for the fluid.

Mobilube 75w-90 or there's a Shell Transaxle 75w-90 fluid that's also approved, and that's it.

^^^ Used this when I did mine...simple enough job, just make sure you have something to pump the new stuff in with.

ETA...Here yer go,

1. Warm things up a bit.
2. Remove filler and drain plugs and drain out old oil.

Filler Plug...

Drain Plug...

3. Check magnetic drain plug for bits of your gearbox...clean and replace (22lb-ft)
4. Refill and clean and replace filler plug (22lb-ft)
5. Drive and enjoy smile
