Does anyone know of anyone selling a single 15'' ATS Cookie Cutter wheel.

I've just had a bit of a fun morning. An overloaded wagon dumped a load of rocks in front of me earlier on a fast 60mph stretch of country road. I dodged most but got stung by the last one - it all happened in an instant and left me with a bent and cracked front wheel.

I've just got the car how I want it so I'm a little bit hacked off to say the least. Quite glad to be alive though. Going from 60mph on straight road to 60mph sideways over icy grass didn't do my sphincter much good.

I'm based near Leeds/Harrogate so can collect from a reasonable distance.

Aaaaargh.

Boy, that looks nasty.
Did you get hte name on the overloaded lorry? They normally pay out pretty quick in the event of a complaint. I had a load of rubble fall onto my car a few years back and it cracked the screen. They paid for a new screen fast.

Prestige might be able to help you : http://www.porschebreaker.com/ or try the guys at Strasse
http://www.strasse.co.uk/

Alternativly try ebay and base your search on distance from your home post code. You may get lucky and find a cookie cutter locally for a decent price.

Edited to add this advert:

You need to be a member to read the ad though. PM me if you cant see it.

cookies are one of the , if not the, cheapest Porsche alloy. I sold my last set of 6 & 7's for around £80 for all 4 !!

You should be able to find one, if not from ebay, try the aircooled VW forums or some of the classic Porsche forums

Hi You could try Simon Butterworth at Porschapart - not far from you (Ramsbottom).

Sorry about your car, but delighted it wasn't worse for you.

Thanks guys. I've just seen that set on the Bay, will keep an eye on what they go for. I've just dropped £800 in parts and 60 hours labour on the car so would like it back on the road as cheaply as possible - if I can get a single I'd be a happy (or just less angry smile) man.

Have emailed Porschapart too.

Elliot at Porkaparts is one of the few breakers who still deals in front-engined Porsches. Worth a call.

Alastair Sulzer on TIPEC.net breaks lots of 944s so may very well have a wheel.

Don't worry about getting one locally either, just try www.wheelcarrier.co.uk cost for one small wheel without tyre is about a tenner I think.

PH Sportscars may still have some, although I believe that he offloaded most of his crap to Ellot Newman. Alasdair is a decent fellow, but he tends to deal with series two cars only and Turbos in particular.
