Hi, I am very interested in the 997 Turbo that Cridfords have in stock at the moment.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks guys,
Andrew

I bought from them a few months back. No real fuss or hassle. Just straightforward deal.

Probably doesn't help much!

Bought my first Boxster from them. Ok to deal with but the car wasn't the best (I was naive). I'd get it inspected; I think it's fair to say you're not getting anything like Porsche Centre levels of assurance.

Apparently they are more of a wash and sell outfit. But you get what you pay for don't you?

Hi again,

How much would a full check cost and how long does it take?

What will they check for?

Thanks,
Andrew

I bought a 997 C2S from them before and like you, am also interested in the turbo they have.

Despite the car looking good with a nice spec there's a couple of reasons I haven't been back to buy that car.

PM me if you want more info as won't write it all on here, but safe to say it isn't positive.

Hi Dogbash
Which car is it. I have a feeling it might be my old car. Black turbo with ceramics?
Cheers

Hi, yes its a black turbo with ceramics.

I don't know the reg plate though unfortunately. Where are you based? The guy on the phone said the previous owner was fairly local.

Thanks,
Andrew

I bought a 993 C2 from them around 11 or 12 years ago.

Please - get an inspection.

Treating it like a private sale is a good suggestion. Can't see me ever buying from there again.

I am running out of 'Independants' to trust / believe !
I am trying to find 'my' car and Cridfords was also on the regular trawl of the classifieds.

However - better knowing than not knowing.
Cheers PH thumbup
Not a bad 'rule-of-thumb' tbh...main dealer or private your best bet imo..

+1 you pay a bit more but you get a 2 year warranty. Anything wrong - bring it back. smile

Is that a standard thing with main dealers? 2 year warranty?

Thanks,
Andrew
