I am a newbie and my recently purchased Gen 1 997 turbo is due for its 6 year service soon and I want to use an OPC as it is still under warranty. Being near Preston I have Bolton, Wilmslow or Kendal to choose from. Has anybody used these. Reccommendations and experiences appreciated.
Thanks

Gary

What a luxury - three competing dealers - on the east coast it is a trek to one dealer!!

I use Wilmslow for the 7.2 RS and find them very good. Busy place and lads know their stuff.

Heard good things about Wilmslow. Mate bought an RS from them and sales were very good. Cant comment on servicing side though.

Wilmslow is the one for me. I'm on my 3rd Porsche from them and they've always been good to me. Mind you, Bolton is in the same group, so should be as good.

I bought my Spyder from Bolton and had my previous 996 serviced there too. They have always looked after me well. They will happily collect from Preston and bring your car back for you, they have even brought a loan car to me in the past too both to home or work, whatever has been more convenient. The cars have always been looked after whilst there too.

Had a few dealings with Bolton including a recall and found them fine.

Ah, but can you be sure they haven't put over-revs on your DME data when doing so? wink

The DME registers over-revs when simply idling too, and if you're really lucky when it is parked up overnight too!

Hi
OPC Bolton and OPC Wilmslow are the Same company.

OPC Bolton are fine.

Most OPC's are though when they are taking your money! smile

You need to go to Kendal..you'll be there quicker than the other 2, and it's always a nice drive home from the lakes.....old est Porsche dealership and still family run...2 brothers and a son in there every day.....Wilmslow and Bolton both Pendragon group plc, with over 250 dealerships.!!!!....or family run OPC who remember your name.....no brainier for me....been using them for 15 yrs and go from Wigan....

Another vote for Bolton. Have been using them for past 5 yrs and never had anything but excellent service from them.

Used OPC for some warranty work, took them a while to find the fault which in the end I had to tell them about from doing some Google research, but service was excellent, polite and will use them again for servicing. No idea if they are a dealer that like to take the cars out for 'testing' purposes, but I did spend a total of 12 hours in their seating area over 3 separate occasions wink
