Any other 991 owners notice this? PSE on, in PDK tootling around mode it sounds just like a Fairline.

I actually quite like it - nothing like any other 911 mind you!

Mine sounds like a diesel when it's on tickover!! Never noticed this with my 997.2s (same engine).

Eco warriors/thieves might have snuck a diesel replacement in while my gaze was averted. Seen any 9A1 engines on eBay?

A 991S PDK tootled past me in the centre of Manchester a few days ago (I was walking) and it sounded very strange, a bit clattery?

Not very 911 like at all.

I had one for the weekend and thought the same thing. I don't know how much of this noise is through the soundbox thingy and how much it actually sounds like a boat outside.
