Actually its other car park users I hate. I went out to do some Christmas shopping parked my car nicely in the parking slot. Went off and got the better halves Crimbo present and came back to this.

Now my week hasn't been the best week of my life to say the least but to come back to find this just about tops things off nicely. It's just as well the owner of the Freelander was nowhere to be seen as I may not have kept my cool.

To have left there car parked on top of mine they can't of known they had done it. I normally park my car well out of the way to try and stop this sort of thing happening but its Christmas and parking spots are limited to say the least. Next year I will do all my shopping online and keep the car in the garage.

As luck would have it the scratches and scuffs polished out with my machine polisher when I got home but its not the point.

That's just a tad shocking, how can you mistankingly drive into a car??

I guess their excuse would be height difference but still, no excuse.

At least the damage wasn't too bad, any faster and the Freelander could have ended up parked on your car!

Thats the sports car owners saving grace, online shopping, no scratches from people scraping past your car with pointy shopping, dents from doors, pain in the ass carparks with more speed bumps than would be fitting to stop chavs in corsas being idoits in a 11pm.

Sorry to hear about the inconsiderate bds,and of course you shouldnt have to advoid human beings due to the inconsiderate few!

Total ahole and typical of the sort of people who rattle around in farm vehicles and think everyone likes the battered and abused look. Knobs....

That boils my blood. Surely noone could be that unaware of where their car starts and ends? It's a wonder that they ever passed their test.

I mean, at the very least you'd have thought when they got out and shut their door they would have noticed they parked outside the marked bay.

Bloody Boxster drivers. Glad your Honda was OK.

Should have let their tyres down and left a note apologising that due to the fact they parked on your car the only way to unhook it was let their tyres down.

If the damage was minimal or nil it's just possible they rolled into you as they parked in neutral/didn't apply handbrake properly. Um ...I've done it a couple of times in my Land Rover but luckily never damaged another car. Now I park ALL cars really carefully but try to never take my 996 on a shopping trip.

This is why i virtually never park the porka in carparks too many moron drivers out there and if you ever do have to park for a brief time you put it somewhere with nobody near it and come back to cars parked all around it or someone in the next space opening theyre door to get out. i hope you left the driver a "friendly" note.....

Yes letting his/her rear tyres down so that it lifted the front of the car a little to allow me to get my car out without more damage did cross my mind. The only thing is I had nothing to leave a little note on explaining how they and inconvenienced me so I was now going to do it to them. Believe me if the damage did not look like it would polish out I would have been waiting for the driver.

If it was as tight at the other end then that's quite impressive!

That's a new model Jazz and they have a notoriously weak handbrake on the rear discs. Looks like it might have rolled into your car.

I came back to find some minor scratches on my front bumper thanks to some careless knob when parking. What's interesting it was in the exact same road/spot where as s mcneil had reverted to:

One of the things I miss most about living in the US Midwest, at least their parking spaces were enormous, carparks wide and open.

Hate not using cars because of things like this but nothing more annoying than seeing some moron in a stbox opening his door into a brand new 991 without a care in the world.
