Hopefully you sorted the clutch/gearbox issue first Rich?

try the usual www.liverpoolvictoria.co.uk i know of people insuring modded cars there, where they only ask what you have done, without loading the premium.
It does seem to vary on an individual basis somehow.

New clutch/flywheel is going in now.

No sign of gearbox issue on car at dealers, well it would want to behave now wouldnt it :-(

Rich,

I am with Liverpool Vic and their stance with me was that I could do anything as long as the cubic capacity of the engine was not affected!
I was very sceptical as I am about to up-grade my 993 Cab to over 500 bhp, so phoned back three more times and spoke to three different people. Each time I was told the same thing............

A nice saving...that should go some way toward paying for the performance mods.....no excuse not to now

the online quote for liverpool victoria does specifically state in its introductory blurb that "we cannot insure...cars which have performance enhancing modifications"

Perhaps different if you contact them direct

with that proviso...bloody hell! they just quoted me over 25% less on my old 9442.7 premium than I'm currently getting from a specialist insurer culled from PCGB Porsche Post (with a Porsche club discount).
Excellent tip - thank you!
