Last week, boxster was serviced, accidently left it in the garage with the key in.

Came today to start it, dead, no lights on dash, not anything.

Went through the usual milarchy to start it, booster battery on positive near fuse box and earthed on door hinge.

Also have tried having it connected up to another car while running, still nothing.

Started taking the arch linig out, still can't see anything, ( am I correct in assuming the emergency release is on the drivers side - would make sense?!)

Any advise much appreciated.

Cheers

did you try the remote switch whilst you had the other car connected to the fuse box and earth? when you connect it should give you electric power to your car, if not i would say you are doing something wrong. If you do have power and the button doesnt work, have you tried the one on the key remote?

yes i have tried with the key in the ignition and pressing the button on the key!

I did note when its connected up there is sort of a buzzing noise coming from the fuse area?!

I'd be connecting my battery conditioner to the cigarette lighter socket and leaving it to put some life into the battery.

I'm fairly certain someone recommended you buy one last time the Boxster battery went flat.

It's probably a silly question but have you tested the spare battery you're using?
When I did mine the other day the spare only had enough charge to unlock the bonnet, unlock the car and get the windows down halfway before it also gave up the ghost.

No idea sorry.....
Perhaps someone with access to a Boxster manual could advise?
Otherwise just pull each one in turn (not all at once obviously!) and check.

Thanks for suggestions.

You do know that the alarm on a Boxster goes into sleep mode after a week of inactivity, don't you? Just lifting the door handle up will reset it and you can use the remote again. Took me 2 years to work that one out...

Wow. I thought you had to use the key in the door. Porsche are amazing.
