Yea Chris at centre gravity is very good. Do a search on here. Many threads about the company. You will always get naysayers but if you want a geo with attention to detail then it is worth the money.

Attention to detail is second to none. Say hi to Chris but expect a wait.

Yeah. Usually a 5-6 week waiting list!

This ^^^^

You'll also benefit from an (almost obsessively) detailed inspection of your car's suspension/tyres, a full test drive before anything's done - both to assess how your car behaves and to further confirm what's right/wrong. Chris will then discuss with you your expectations, the usage to which you will put the car and your driving style/ability. Only then will the geo settings be decided upon - to optimise the car to your needs and requirements. You'll also be advised of any parts that might need to be replaced (as you can't put a proper setup on worn-out suspension) many of which Chris keeps in stock.

Once the work's completed, you'll go on another test drive to make sure the car meets all your expectations (within budget and originality constraints). If you aren't totally happy, Chris will put the car straight back on the ramp and change things again until you are. Awesome customer service!

The best bit of all is the drive home and the huge, daft grin that won't go away. Yes, the differences can be that big.

Chris has set up 3 cars for me now; my current 997S.2, my G/F's 987.2 Boxster and my previous 997S.1 (including installing and setting-up Bilstein Damptronics on the 7S.1). The results in each case have been outstanding and I can therefore recommend Chris very highly indeed.

Usual disclaimers apply - just a very happy customer.

In terms of price, simple 4 wheel full geometry set up is, I think, £250 +VAT (£300)

Chris is a top guy, but if you know your suspension is in good order and you know what settings you want, pretty much any place with the right equipment can do you a GEO for much less, circa £100 smile

Some engineers were building a bridge so when the river flooded the villagers would be able to cross, unsure of how high to make the bridge they asked an old man to put a nail in a tree to mark where the river flooded too..

That'll be $50 he said, $50 to put a nail in a tree? 'no' replied the old man, 'its $5 to put the nail in & $45 to know where to put it'!

Much the same as a good geo, anywhere can probably just dial the numbers in, but the right numbers is a different matter all together!!!

& yes I've been to CG & Chris is every bit as good as his reputation that precedes him smile

Well the right numbers are easy accessible, they are not a secret. So for those who know want we want all we need is someone to dial our numbers in, that cost about £100 smile

Chris is very talented and extremely thorough, I've used him before and would again.

i understand what your trying to say with your two posts. but there is a lot of companys out there be it porsche, bmw specalist ect that think by buying £15,000 worth of equipment qualifies them as 'geo' experts! believe me i've had geo's done by a lot of well known bmw and porsche experts and the cars are on the ramp under an hour and it is so called done it that time! with chris you arrive at 8.30 and go home at 2pm, thats a geo ,and thats the time it takes to do it properly. so from my point of view £300 is cheap for the amount of work you get as opposed to £120 for one hours work for a lazy so called 'geo'. end of the day these are top end cars we are messing around with and are hobbies so worth paying the extra to have them right.
